i keep the option for suggested posts based on my likes on because i think the random shit that pops up on my dash is funny, but there has been suggested posts about EDs, pro-terf shit AND pro J*hnny fucking D*pp… and it’s someone’s fault and i’m furious.

sure, it’s “based” on my “likes”, but i’m not into that shit, quite the opposite actually, so i think part of what tumblr’s algorithms takes into consideration is the data of the tumblr blogs’s likes that i follow, too… OR tumblr’s algorithm is so dumb that it can’t tell the difference between an anti terf and a pro terf post because they share the same buzzwords. both options are sad and ridiculous tbh.

either way, i’m now in the lookout for that “leak” source and unfollow the guilty fuckers, but it’s sad that stuff like that is getting “advertised” in the first place. however, it’s not like i want the algorithm to become smarter, because that means it will be more invasive… the best answer is not to allow those suggested posts in the first place and enjoy the bliss of ignorance, but it’s hard to let go of it because i love making fun of tumblr’s programming and, besides the blazed posts, suggested posts are the best proof that this is the lemon car of all social media platforms, a lemon that we fools keep driving it anyway. clown car, i must say instead 🤡
